Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver after a crash on City Road yesterday morning.

A 42-year-old man was left “badly shaken” but uninjured after the crash, which took place at around 10.34am.

Police were called to reports of a collision between a blue Peugeot van and a green Nissan Micra. The Micra had driven off up Thornton Road towards Allerton after the crash. The van driver moved their vehicles off the road following the collision.

Anyone with information about the crash can call police on 101.
