A Haworth children’s centre at risk of losing its funding will be the subject of a meeting in the village.
Treetops, in Rawdon Road, is among seven children's centres across Bradford district which faces having its funding withdrawn, in a move to save the district council £2.4 million.
Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council is encouraging people to attend a meeting on Tuesday, January 7, to discuss what can be done.
The event will be attended by Anne Manns, Bradford Council’s lead officer for early years. Parish council chairman, Councillor John Huxley, said: “We at the parish council have been very impressed with what Treetops has achieved in the short time since it opened, and we want to try and keep as much of this service as possible.”
The meeting will take place from 2pm at West Lane Baptist Church, Haworth.
