A main road through Guiseley was closed this evening after a torrential downpour left standing water almost a foot deep.
The flooding happened on the A65 Otley Road at its junction with Victoria Road and Oxford Road, near the Station pub.
The downpour started at about 5.30pm. It also caused flooding on Hall Ings in Bradford city centre, although fire crews in the district said they had not received any flood-related calls.
Metro said that the 576 bus service had to be diverted along All Saints Road because Horton Park Avenue in Bradford was closed due to flooding.
There were also reports of flooding on Thornton Road in Thornton.
