New Skipton housing plan lodged
6:06pm Thursday 24th October 2013 in News
Developers of a rejected housing scheme for High Trees, The Bailey, Skipton, have returned with an amended plan.
The original scheme to replace a 1960s detached house and swimming pool with two pairs of semis and two detached homes was refused by Craven District Council in July.
The council said although there was outline permission for four homes on the site the planned homes would be an overdevelopment at an iconic entrance to the town.
Skipton-based developer JN Bentley has now returned with a scheme for four three-bedroom terrace cottages, a pair of semi-detached, and three detached homes.
JN Bentley, which already has planning permission to demolish High Trees, hopes to start work on the development in the middle of next year.
