Young photographers focus on Bradford for competition
8:00am Friday 11th October 2013 in News
School pupils used iPads to capture images showing the future of their city.
Young people aged 11 to 16 competed in an inter-school photography contest at the National Media Museum, Bradford.
Each team was asked to capture the ‘Bradford of the future’ and took to the streets accompanied by teachers.
The contest was the brainchild of Belle Vue Boys’ School teacher Camilla Eyres.
She said: “It’s Bradford seen through the eyes of the younger generation. A lot of people are so negative about Bradford and as a recent arrival, I think it has quite a lot of things going for it. So I thought, right, let’s show people in Bradford that the younger generation can think positively and be creative.”
The winning team were Sarah Birkett, Jodie Gibson, Katy Doran and Alisha Duffy, of Tong High School.
