A pet charity with a hospital in Bradford is calling on animal lovers to help it get a cash boost of £50,000.
PDSA is one of nine national charities shortlisted in the Vote That Counts competition being run by the People’s Postcode Trust.
The charity wants to use the money to help stop pets dying from illnesses that are preventable.
Nicola Martin, PDSA’s head of pet health and welfare, said: “£50,000 will help us to deliver more life-saving care packages for pets, including guidance on preventive treatments such as vaccinations and neutering, alongside full health ‘MOTs’ and action plans.
“PDSA is funded entirely by public support so this funding would be amazing. It only takes a few clicks to cast your vote, it’s free and it will make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of family pets.”
