MP David Ward cooks up a feast for charity at Idle Tide
Bradford East MP David Ward was on barbecue duty at the weekend at a traditional event to mark the heritage of a Bradford village.
Idle Tide has been held for more than a century, traditionally on the first Saturday after September 20, when drovers came to the village with beef cattle on the way to market and local people took the opportunity to buy freshly-slaughtered meat.
The event included children’s games, tombola and activity stalls, with all proceeds for Marie Curie.
Mr Ward said: “Idle Tide is a great way of bringing people together and raising money for charitable causes.”
