Bus conductor badly hurt in accident at Bradford Interchange is recovering
9:00am Tuesday 10th September 2013 in News
A bus conductor, who suffered a serious head injury in an accident outside the Bradford Interchange five days ago, remained in hospital last night.
The 53-year-old conductor was collecting fares at the back of the number 72 Hyperlink bendy bus service to Leeds when a vehicle pulled out in front of the bus, causing it to brake sharply.
The conductor was thrown forward, hitting his head on a metal step.
Police said he remained in Bradford Royal Infirmary in a stable condition but he was making good progress.
The bus had been travelling down Bridge Street shortly before midday last Thursday, when a vehicle, believed to be a dark Land Rover Discovery pulled out of the Bradford Interchange car park.
Police are studying CCTV to try to trace the vehicle and its driver.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
