Charge to come in for bulky waste
Changes are being made to the way bulky waste is collected from households.
Large electrical items, like TVs, washing machines, fridges, and cookers, will still be collected free.
But a charge will be introduced for all other bulky items, such as furniture or carpets.
The charge, of between £10 and £25 depending on the number of items to be collected, will come into force from Monday.
The money raised will be used to improve the service.
From next week, people will now be given an appointment by Bradford Council for a specific collection day instead of leaving unsightly items outside their homes for days.
Customers can order and pay for their collection online at bradford.gov.uk or by calling (01274) 431000.
