POLICE caught a rider after they allegedly ripped up moorland on a quad in a Bradford district area.

Operation Steerside officers found the mud-plastered Yamaha along with the rider in Keighley.

The rider was issued with a Section 59 warning and reported to Bradford Council for breaching an anti-social driving PSPO.

Elsewhere, police seized an unregistered off-road motorbike that had previously failed to stop for officers.

Enquiries led them to an address in the Thorpe Edge area of Bradford East.

The Operation Steerside Team has been dedicated to tackling dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford since the initiative was launched in 2016.

It evolved in 2018 into a multi-agency partnership and has continued ever since to proactively take on illegal use of the road.
